A Little About Myself. Hi there! I'm Milana Weber and I'm a student enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Conestoga College. I chose to study Early Childhood Education because I love to work with young children and I am fascinated by how children develop and flourish. I grew up as the oldest child with four younger siblings, being nine years older than the next oldest child, I witnessed my other siblings grow and thrive in what they like to do. Growing up with younger children around me all the time has led me to a goal of working with children professionally. I have experienced three semesters of placement. One being, participating in an observational placement at Doon Lab School, the child care centre at Conestoga's main Kitchener Campus, another was participating in-person at Ayr Early Learning Centre, working with both toddlers and preschoolers, and my most recent was participating in-person in Paris, Ontario, at Montessori Children's Academy, working with children ages 3-6 years old. Within these placements, I have received high-quality guidance from ECE professors and my cooperating educators. In my upcoming semester, I hope to find other role model and get more practice as a student educator in community placements and experience more leadership roles. When I graduate, I will apply for the Bachelor of Early Learning Program Development at Conestoga, then once I graduate from that apply for Teachers College.
